Waiting for my first bag of this flour to give these a try…wondering @Kimberly…what did you use to replace the eggs and dairy in these to make them GF and vegan?
So I made (almost) as listed… I kind of forgot that the water was supposed to be warm but hey it still worked out even if it took me forever to spread out the filling over the dough, with my fingers… it was a little thick. But practice makes perfect and the only changes I think I’ll make for next time is that A) use warm water; B) add nuts (love me some pecans!); C) use a higher sided pan since the ooey gooey in the title is literal. The darn things started melting over the sides of my pan and I forgot to put in an oven liner. Thank goodness for self cleaning ovens.
Finally found a flour to make my grandmother’s sticky buns gluten free where they aren’t just a carrier for the sweet syrup! Thank you for such a great product. I made this cinnamon roll dough – what an easy dough to work with after so many others just crumbled or stuck to everything and hardly rose! I substituted my grandmother’s caramelized syrup and simple filling we are used to and I couldn’t tell the difference! My daughter and I are both gluten free and have missed this traditional Christmas morning treat for years and now no longer need to! Can’t wait to try some bread. 😃
Made these this a.m. and they were fantastic, I have been cooking gluten free for 17 years and this is the best bread flour I have used!
LOVE this recipe! We used it as a springboard for our vegan and gluten free cinnamon rolls. Life changing dough THANK YOU!
